Watching the Apple Watch or Fitbit really makes you watch what you eat.
An important benefit of exercising is that it makes you realize how hard and long it takes to expend calories and thus serve as a cautionary alarm next time when you consume them.
This is especially important these days when it is so easy to gain calories. For example, 140 calories consumed by drinking a can of Coke in few minutes will take a brisk walk of 30 minutes or running for 15 minutes to expend the same amount of calories.
